Why he might be annoying:

He sports an enormous mustache.
He had a cantankerous relationship with Harold Ballard.
Prior to playing in Calgary, he spent the majority of his career on awful teams in Toronto and Colorado.
His middle name is King.
He failed to play a full season during his career.

Despite having a fractured wrist and a broken nose, he continued to play and eventually scored a series winning goal (1978).
He is the first recipient of the King Clancy Award.
He won the Stanley Cup during his final season as an active player (1989).
He kept his scoring pace with Wayne Gretzky for the majority of the 1982-83 season.
His number 9 was the first number retired by the Flames franchise.
