    Prior to launching her music career, she was known for her cause to get gender reassignment surgery as a preteen.
    She said the first song she wrote was about a boy who she had a crush on didn't reciprocate the same feelings for her.
    She went through an emo phase as a teenager.
    Despite being active in music for over a decade, she didn't make her mainstream debut until 2019.
    She named one of her albums 'Slut Pop.
    She drew fire from music pundits for her association with Dr. Luke, after allegations of him sexually assaulting Ke$ha came to the forefront.
    Furthermore, she faced criticism for name dropping Lady GaGa in one of her tracks.

    Despite being assigned male at birth, she felt she always identified as a female since the age of 3.
    She was a model for a German hair salon chain at the age of 15.
    She successfully underwent gender reassignment surgery at the age of 16, which she said made her feel like she was in the body she rightfully belonged in.
    She is considered a hero in the transgender community.
    She was the first visible out transgender artist to perform at the MTV Europe Music Awards (2021).
