The Resume

    (January 25, 1978- )
Born in Dalhousie, New Brunswick, Canada
Drafted 67th overall by the St. Louis Blues in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft and re-drafted 152nd overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft
Forward for the Tampa Bay Lightning (1999-2002), New York Rangers (2002-03) and the Montreal Canadiens (2003-04)
Head coach of the QMJHL's PEI Rocket/Charlottetown Islanders (2011-15), Shawinigan Cataractes (2019-20) and the Saint John Sea Dogs (2021-22)

Why he might be annoying:

    He was a goon.
He couldn't reach a contract agreement with the Blues, so he re-entered the NHL Entry Draft two years later.
He bounced around between the NHL and the minors.
He earned a 23-game suspension, after he left the penalty box to participate in a bench clearing brawl (September 19, 2000).
He was fired in Saint John after their first round playoff exit (2022).
That same team went on to win the Memorial Cup by virtue of being the host team that year weeks after his firing.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was considered one of the toughest players of his era.
He wasn't afraid to stand up for his teammates when needed.
He pursued a career in coaching after his playing career ended.
He harbored no hard feelings towards the Sea Dogs after his dismissal, putting the blame on himself for the team not playing their hardest when it mattered.
