Actress

The Resume

    (September 15, 1958-November 24, 2005)
Starred in 'Bosom Buddies,' 'Private Benjamin (TV)' and 'Babes'
Played Linda McFly in 'Back to the Future' parts 1 & 3
Died of breast cancer in her 40's

Why she might be annoying:

Her publicist said she died at 46 but later changed it to 43 after viewing an Internet resource.
The Associated Press said she was 47.
She had minor and significant roles in slews of forgettable big and small screen movies.
One of her major parts was in the Spielberg turkey '1941.'

Why she might not be annoying:

She wasn't afraid to make fun of her own weight (as her role on 'Babes' so clearly indicated).
She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998.
She loved comedic roles but didn't think very highly of dramatic roles ('I'm an actress who loves to say something funny; everybody laughs and your job is done').
Tom Hanks called her 'a walking inspiration.'
