Why she might be annoying:

She was a weak, inept ruler.
As a Catholic of Tudor descent, she was a threat to the Protestant Elizabeth I.
She was accused of murdering her second husband, Lord Darnley.
She married Earl Bothwell, Darnley's killer.
Her behavior outraged the Scottish people so much that she was forced to abdicate.
She fled to England and was imprisoned there in 1568.
She was accused of plotting to depose Elizabeth.
She was executed at Fotheringay castle.

Why she might not be annoying:

She believed in religious tolerance.
She was considered a great beauty.
She became queen when still an infant.
She was queen consort of France as well as queen of Scotland.
Her first husband, the King of France, died when she was still in her teens.
She may have been raped by Bothwell.
Like Richard III, she has her historical defenders.
Her son became King of England when Elizabeth died.
Her executioner botched the decapitation and it took two messy blows to finally decapitate her.
