Baseball Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He had limited playing time as a White Sox player due to his struggling offensive performances after he learned offensive skills from All-Star catcher Sherm Lollar.
He was the two-time AL leader for errors committed as a catcher (1960 and 1965).
    He broke a cheekbone twice.
He never played in any game of the World Series in his last season as a White Sox player.
He got hurt in his attempt to catch a foul pop-up ball which led to him to hardly talk and rotate his head in Game 3 of the 1965 World Series.
His batting performance in the 1965 World Series was a disappointment.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was among the first players in the majors to wear an earflap on a batting helmet as a response to broken cheekbones.
His great defensive performances made him among one of baseball's top catchers in the 1960s, resulted him to win three straight Golden Gloves.
He helped Jack Kralick to record a no-hitter (August 26, 1962).
He held the Twin record for season home runs as a catcher with 26 for 56 years until Mitch Garver broke it in the 2019 season.
He used to work as a high school teacher and a baseball coach.
He was selected as one of the 50 Greatest Twins Players in honor of the team's 50th anniversary season.
