Why he might be annoying:

    He retired in 1997, only to return for the reformed Browns franchise in 1999.
    He was part of Lawrence Taylor's ringside entourage at Wrestlemania XI (1995).
    Despite being a stalwart on the Lions defense, he left the team when they gave him a substandard contract offer.
    He opted to go by his middle name instead of his birth name, Charles.
    He spent his prime years on poor Lions teams.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was a standout linebacker at Ohio State University.
    He posted his best career numbers in his two seasons with the Bills.
    Aside from retiring due to a neck injury prior to the 1998 season, he sat out the season to care for his wife, who was diagnosed with breast cancer.
    When his wife lost her hair as a result of chemotherapy treatments, he voluntarily shaved his own head in solidarity.
    He concluded his NFL career as a member of the inaugural reborn Browns franchise.
