    Confirmed to the United States Supreme Court by a Senate vote of 53 to 47 (April 7, 2022)

Why she might be annoying:

    As a judge covering the District of Columbia, she ruled on several cases involving Donald Trump (making her unpopular with Trumpers).
    Amid societal debate over definitions of gender, she responded 'I can't. I'm not a biologist' when asked to define what a woman is during her confirmation hearing.
    Economic conservatives criticized her history of 'labor friendly' rulings.
    Conservatives also blasted her for 'light sentences' she issued as a judge, for crimes such as child pornography.

Why she might not be annoying:

    She graduated Harvard Law School, where she was an editor for the 'Harvard Law Review'.
    While at Harvard, she was involved with the University's improv comedy troupe, 'On Thin Ice'.
    She was composed and graceful handling the political theater which comes along with a Supreme Court nomination.
    She became the first black woman confirmed to the United States Supreme Court.
