Why he might be annoying:

He was a journeyman player, as he played on 19 teams in nine different leagues across two continents.
He was unable to translate his success at the NCAA level in the NHL.
He amounted to nothing more than a depth player in that league.
Some hockey pundits felt he wasn’t given a fair shot by other NHL clubs outside of Anaheim, due to his small stature.
He earned a suspension from the IIHF, after it was revealed he was under contract with both the Canucks and a KHL club at the same time (2008).

Why he might not be annoying:

He served as the captain of the men's ice hockey team at the University of New Hampshire.
He was the first player in the history of the UNH hockey program to win the Hobey Baker Award.
He was considered a solid scorer during his tenure in the American Hockey League.
He signed with the Islanders as an undrafted free agent, following his Hobey Baker Award winning season.
He tied an AHL record for most assists recorded in a single playoff (26 in 2008).
