Why he might be annoying:

It is estimated that he had over 2,500 sexual partners in North America.
He more than likely unknowingly passed the disease to other people.
He supposedly went to the clubs after leaving the Centers for Disease Control and had sex even more.
He became an outcast in the gay community and moved to Canada where he continued to have sex with whomever he wanted.
His case is an example of how the disease became such an international epidemic, as he probably infected around 250 people a year in several countries.
He had sex with at least 40 of the first 248 people diagnosed with AIDS (April 1982).
He did not die of AIDS complications himself, but of renal failure.

Why he might not be annoying:

He did not introduce AIDS to North America.
He probably suffered from some severe psychological problems.
He did not have sex with a chimpanzee as is often suggested.
He was not the first instance of AIDS or even the fist diagnosed case of AIDS (the first instance being sometime in the 1930s, the first recognized case being in 1959).
He died before he could pass AIDS to even more people.
