Why he might be annoying:

    He was a journeyman player.
    He wore the toilet bowl style helmet for the majority of his playing career (see above).
    Despite his accolades, he never was considered for Norris Trophy voting.
    He spent the majority of his career on lackluster teams, which cost him a chance of winning a Stanley Cup.
    He played in only one game with the Maple Leafs, prior to retiring.
    He subsequently retired when he wasn't offered a contract by the Minnesota Wild prior to the 2003-04 season.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was the first American born NHL player to play over 1,000 career games.
    He recorded a career high 93 points (1992-93).
    He was versatile, playing forward in the occasional game.
    He was the key player acquired in both the Dale Hawerchuk and Al MacInnis trades of the early 1990s.
    He was a member of the silver medal winning United States men's Olympic hockey team (2002).
