The Resume

    (1988- )
    Located in Miami, Florida
    Three NBA Championships (2006, 2012, 2013)
One retired number: Michael Jordan's #23 (as a special tribute)
Former and current players include Alonzo Mourning, Tim Hardaway, Shaquille O'Neal and Dwayne Wade
Made headlines by re-signing superstar Dwyane Wade, and adding superstars LeBron James and Chris Bosh to their roster (July 2010)

Why they might be annoying:

They were part of the expansion boom of the late 1980's.
They retired Michael Jordan's number, even though he had nothing to do with the franchise other than beating them.
They lost their first ever seventeen games.
They once failed to score more than 100 points for 35 straight games (2001-02).
After a few years in their first building, they whined about getting a new arena and got their wish.
They once lost by 68 points, an NBA record (80-148 against Cleveland, 1991).
There were many fights between them and the Knicks, and it escalated when Mourning fought Knicks player Larry Johnson and dragged coach Jeff Van Gundy on the floor.

Why they might not be annoying:

They had some great teams in the late 1990's.
They had their first 60-win season in only their ninth year.
Their rivalry with the Knicks was perhaps the most intense of the 1990's.
Pat Riley won his 1,000th game with the Heat.
They surprised many people when their young team advanced to the Eastern Conference semi-finals (2004).
They are the third team to win the NBA championship after losing the first two games (June 21, 2006).
