Why she might be annoying:

She was married four times, divorced three times.
After an affair with a married man, she attempted suicide by jumping into the Seine River; she was rescued by the taxicab driver who had driven her there (1947).
Her career went into a slump after Brigitte Bardot replaced her as France's leading sex symbol in the late 1950s.
Her method of curing her morphine addiction was to drink three bottles of champaign every day for three months.
She was initially buried at the Pere Lachaise in Paris, but her remains were moved to a cemetery in Cannes following an attempt to break into her tomb. (Presumably in an attempt to steal the jewelry she was rumored to have been buried with.)

Why she might not be annoying:

She changed her last name to Carol in honor of Carole Lombard.
She was kidnapped by gangster 'Crazy Pete' Loutrel, who released her the next day and sent her roses as an apology (1943).
She suffered a miscarriage, after which she was unable to have children.
She became addiction to morphine while being treated for a fractured spine following an accident on the set of 'The Foxiest Girl in Paris' (1957).
She was considered the French version of Marilyn Monroe.
