Birth name was Stanley Timothy Crews
Pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers (1987-92)

Why he might be annoying:

He was drunk at the time he drove his boat into a pier which killed him and new teammate Steve Olin, and seriously injured fellow teammate and friend Bob Ojeda.
He was the first active major league player since Thurman Munson to die during active play.
He was a healthy scratch during the 1988 World Series.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was establishing himself as a closer at the major league level at the time of his death.
He was described by former teammates as being easygoing.
Prior to Spring Training, he often invited new teammates to his lakeside house for socials.
Although he never got the chance to pitch a game for the Indians, the team took his number 52 out of circulation that season.
