Why he might be annoying:

    Perhaps not surprisingly, he was called ‘Chuck’ in his childhood.
    Having led his high school baseball and basketball teams to the state finals, he previously dreamed of going into pro basketball.
    Less than a month after he landed in L.A., he landed the role of Cully (aka Kid Adonis) on ‘Johnny Ringo.’
    He was divorced twice.

Why he might not be annoying:

    While on ‘Johnny Ringo,’ his early mentor, one Chuck Connors, suggested he change his name to Mark.
    That Adam-12 episode entitled ‘Elegy for a Pig’? That was him as the cop killed in the line of duty (hence the title).
    Between acting jobs – and some 20 years worth of guest appearances – he worked at a number of children’s facilities.
    He waited six years to marry a second time and about 13 years to marry a third time.
    He maintained a close relationship with co-star and later mentor Jonathan Harris, right up to ‘Dr. Smith’s’ death.
