Owner, General Manager and Head Coach of the Red Deer Rebels (1999-2007); head coach of the New Jersey Devils (2007-09) and Calgary Flames (2009-12)

Why he might be annoying:

He drafted his own son in the WHL Bantam Draft.
He was the third of six brothers to make it to the NHL.
He went by the nickname 'Pup' during his tenure with the Islanders.
He traded for his nephew at the WHL trade deadline.
He resigned from the Devils citing homesickness, only to accept the Flames head coaching job six weeks later (2009).
Many Devils fans felt he stabbed their team in the back by this action and got excited when he had minimal success in Calgary.
He comes off as being very surly and arrogant in interviews.

Why he might not be annoying:

He guided the Canadian World Junior team to consecutive gold medals at the World Junior Hockey Championships (2004-05).
He guided the Rebels to both the best record in the Western and Canadian Hockey Leagues as well as the 2001 Memorial Cup.
He was a member of three Stanley Cup championship teams.
He was a natural leader in the locker room.
He can handle the workload of being an owner/GM/coach with minimal stress.
He validated his claim for being homesick by citing his desire to be closer to his family and cattle farm operation.
