The Resume

    (October 15, 1925-November 4, 2019)
    Born in Cleveland, Ohio
Birth name was Cora Virginia Leith
    Model and actress
Appeared in the films ‘Fear and Desire’ (1953), ‘Violent Saturday’ (1955), ‘On the Threshold of Space’ (1956), ‘Toward the Unknown’ (1956), ‘A Kiss Before Dying’ (1956), and ‘The Brain That Wouldn’t Die’ (1962)

Why she might be annoying:

Hedda Hopper called her the most uncommunicative actress since Greta Garbo.
She was named as the ‘other woman’ in the divorce of Jeffrey Hunter and Barbara Rush.
Her career quickly lost momentum when 20th Century Fox declined to renew her contract (1956).
She hated ‘The Brain That Wouldn’t Die’ so much that she refused to return for post-production, so some of her lines had to dubbed by another actress.

Why she might not be annoying:

She was a hatcheck girl and a waitress and a drive-in restaurant before becoming a full-time model.
Her debut film was also the first film directed by Stanley Kubrick.
Kubrick had first met her when he photographed her for the cover of ‘Look’ magazine.
The Times of London described her as having ‘a sultry voice and sophisticated air.’
