The Resume

    (June 25, 1973- )
Born in Barton on Sea, Hampshire, England, United Kingdom
Midfielder for AFC Bournemouth (1990-91), Liverpool (1991-2002), Tottenham Hotspur (2002-05), and Southhampton (2005)

Why he might be annoying:

He began his professional career playing for a club managed by his father Harry.
He was one of several Liverpool players (along with Robbie Fowler, David James, Steve McManaman, and Jason McAteer) who were nicknamed 'Spice Boys' out of the belief that they were more interested in modeling shoots, advertising spots, and magazine interviews than on-field achievements.
He missed the 1998 World Cup because of injuries.
He received the Foot in Mouth Award from the Plain English Campaign for his constant use of 'literally' in non-literal situations. (Ex: 'In his youth, Michael Owen was literally a greyhound'; 'These balls now, they literally explode off your feet.')

Why he might not be annoying:

He was praised for his passing skills, his ability to dictate the tempo of a game, and his accurate and powerful free kicks.
He was captain of Liverpool FC (1999-2002).
After a Soccer Aid charity match, celeb teammate Oly Murs reported, 'Jamie has got a schlong on him. The biggest schlong ever.'
