Actress

The Resume

    (November 19, 1963- )
    Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan
Birth name is Angela Means Kaaya
Best known as Felicia in 'Friday' (1995)
Portrayed Vanessa Walker on Cousin Skeeter (1998-2001)
Acted in 'House Party 3,' 'Sprung,' and 'A Luv Tale'
Appeared on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam

Why she might be annoying:

Her best known movie role is now shorthand for ratchet ‘ghetto’ (usually nonwhite) women.
The phrase used by Ice Cube to dismissively tell her drug addict mooch character to go away in ‘Friday’ has entered urban meme lexicon for telling someone to go kick rocks.
In true Movie Misquote fashion, the meme is always spelled ‘Bye, Felicia!’ even though the character’s name is literally identified with the spelling ‘Felisha’ in the cast listing and script.
She started a Felicia Facebook fan page where she talks like the character (although she rarely ever says the actual phrase herself).

Why she might not be annoying:

She retired from film acting to become a professional photographer.
She claims that the ‘Bye’ line was ad-libbed by Ice Cube.
She has had to put up with random fans harassing her and calling her out of her name on the street, saying: ‘Even today people say Bye You Dirty Bitch!’
The phrase has been used by everyone from Keith Olbermann to Robin Roberts and even became the namesake for a VH-1 show.
It’s a record-scratch moment for millennials to learn that Felicia and the mom on Cousin Skeeter are actually the same person.
She launched the organization Angie’s Kids, which focuses on health education, wellness, and early childhood development.
