    His fear prompted Arsenal fans to call him 'The Non-Flying Dutchman' as a result.
    He was accused of both diving and being a dirty player by opponents.
    He couldn't adapt to the high stakes pressure of playing in Italy.

    He was named after Scottish soccer star Denis Law, but had an extra N added in order to comply to Dutch naming customs.
