Why CBS This Morning might be annoying:

Since its inception, the news program is plagued by low ratings compared to Today and Good Morning America.
They kept switching from national format to local/national hybrid format.
A change in format that included a live audience led to further ratings declines.
For the final two years of the program's original run, the program was a bare bones version of an evening newscast with two anchors reading the news in a low key and boring tone.
The revival has no weather anchor.
After five years, Charlie Rose was fired from the program in light of sexual harassment allegations.

Why CBS This Morning might not be annoying:

Unlike its competitors, the revival version focuses on hard news rather than infotainment.
The program has earned a few Emmys and a Peabody Award.
The song 'Oh, What a Beautiful Morning' was used as a theme song for the program from 1990-96.
Carly Simon also penned a theme song for the final three years of the original version.
Gayle King was praised for her calm demeanor during her 2019 interview with singer R. Kelly related to his rape and molestation allegations.
