Wrote 'The Hite Report' and 'Sexual Honesty'

Why she might be annoying:

She tries not to talk about her modeling career, because it makes her look frivolous.
Social scientists proved her data collection was extraordinarily flawed.
She distributed 80,000 questionnaires by mass media and wrote her findings in 'Sexual Honesty' based on 2,000 returns.
For 'The Hite Report,' she got back 3,100 of 100,000 questionnaires.
The questionnaires were distributed incorrectly and the type of people who return the survey was not random and therefore biased.
Her findings were far from the findings of other researchers who used correct data collection procedures to gather information.
She had her associate, Diane Gregory, call journalist and complain of their mistreatment of Shere Hite.
It turned out Diane Gregory (see her birth name) was Shere, herself.
A cab driver was sent to take her to 'The Sally Jesse Raphael Show' and she kept him waiting over an hour.
When the driver complained to her, she dug her nails into his throat and hit him.
She dropped out of Columbia University's PhD program.

She posed nude.
She became a feminist after doing an ad for Olivetti Typewriters, that said: 'So smart, she doesn't have to be.'
