    Drafted 113th overall by the St. Louis Blues in the 1976 NHL Amateur Draft
    Forward for the Minnesota North Stars (1978-83) and the Calgary Flames (1983-86)
    Assistant coach for St. Cloud State University (1987-88), Philadelphia Flyers (1988-90;.1994-96) and the Pittsburgh Penguins (1997-2000)
    Head coach for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (1986-87), Hershey Bears (1990-94), HIFK (1996-97), U.S. National Development Team (2000-02), University of Wisconsin-Madison (2002-16), St. Olaf College (2016-19) and the Cleveland Monsters

Why he might be annoying:

    He had a nomadic childhood, admitting he never lived in one place for more then three years.
    He missed out on playing in the North Stars 1981 Stanley Cup Finals run, due to a concussion.
    His playing career was derailed by injuries.
    He was a coaching nomad, prior to his tenure at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
    He was fined from Wisconsin, after it was revealed he physically assualted one of his players.
    He was fired by the University of Wisconsin, after the program failed to build on the success they had in the years following their National Championship victory.

    He is the son of former University of Denver star athlete Cecil Eaves, and the father of NHL player Patrick Eaves.
    He was the first player in the history of the Wisconsin men's hockey team to record 200 career points.
    He was described as being a coach who prefers to teach his players, rather then scream at them.
    He guided the United States national team to the program's first World Junior Gold medal (2004).
    He guided the University of Wisconsin-Madison men's hockey program to an NCAA National Championship (2006).
