    Born in Montgomery, Alabama
Defensive back for the Indianapolis Colts (1999)
Defensive backs coach at Valdosta State University (2000), Louisiana State University (2004) and the University of Alabama (2007)
Defensive coordinator for Valdosta State University (2001) and the University of Alabama (2008-15)

Why he might be annoying:

His NFL career ended after one season.
He had a nomadic coaching career, prior to landing the head coaching position at Georgia
He was one of the Dolphins coaches to follow Nick Saban to Alabama at the end of the 2006 season.
His first four seasons at Georgia were remembered for having a good team, but not good enough to win a national championship.
He likes to play golf in his spare time.
His contributions to the Georgia football program were largely ignored by college football pundits, prior to the 2021 National Championship Game.

Why he might not be annoying:

He played his lone season with the Colts under Jim Mora.
He established himself as Nick Saban's top assistant at Alabama during his eight seasons with the team.
He was credited with turning a mediocre Georgia football program into a powerhouse.
He guided Georgia to its first National Championship in over 40 years (2021).
What made the feat even more impressive is that his Georgia team defeated Saban's Alabama one to win it all.
He was able to prove college football pundits wrong and establish himself as a top tier head coach in his own right.
He is among a select few to be associated with the Georgia football program as both a player and coach.
