Why he might be annoying:

    It is not obvious how his first name should be pronounced. (His explanation: ‘Like ‘tonal,’ but with a ‘d’ instead of a ‘t.’’)
    The Guardian described him as ‘a ginger Hugh Grant.’
    He said about being cast as one of the Weasleys in ‘Harry Potter,’ ‘Red hair was my only qualification.’
    He twice lost acting awards to his father: the IFTA (Irish Film and Television Academy) Award for Best Lead Actor in Film (2014) and the British Independent Film Award for Best Supporting Actor (2015).

Why he might not be annoying:

    Portraying a pilot stranded on a life raft turned prisoner in a Japanese POW camp in ‘Unbroken,’ he lost so much weight that his contact lenses no longer fit.
    He was nominated for a Tony as Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play for ‘The Lieutenant of Inishmore.’
    He won the IFTA Award for Best Lead Actor in Television for his portrayal of Bob Geldof in ‘When Harvey Met Bob.’ (2011)
    He placed #21 on the Irish Times list of the greatest Irish film actors (2020).
