Why she might be annoying:

    She is not actually the first female Egyptian ruler as is often believed.
    She married her half brother.
    She is often depicted with a beard and male attire.
    She usurped the rightful heir Tuthmosis III after serving as regent for a short time.
    She made up many stories to legitimize her seizure of power, such as she was fathered by the god Amun.
    She may have had an affair with her steward Senmut.
    Her temple at Luxor was the site of a terrorist attack in 1997 that killed 62 people.

Why she might not be annoying:

    She is the first great female leader of recorded history.
    She adopted the title 'pharaoh' because there was no female equivalent in Egyptian.
    Although a woman and not the chosen heir, she won over the populace.
    The economy boomed and trade flourished during her reign.
    She commissioned some of Egypt's greatest monumental architecture.
    After her death, Tuthmosis III defaced a great work of art depicting her, to remove her from history.
    He succeeded, and Hatshepsut was virtually forgotten for centuries.
    Her cause of death is unknown, and nobody is certain what became of her mummy.
