Why he might be annoying:

He made no effort to know Jalen throughout the majority of his life.
He was drafted by the NFL's New Orleans Saints with the last pick in the draft, despite the fact he never played college football.
He struggled with weight issues during his pro career.
Some basketball pundits felt his stats were padded as a result of playing alongside Dave Bing and Tiny Archibald.
Although older generations may remember him for his playing career, younger generations only remember him for fathering Jalen.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was credited with being one of the first college players to adapt the cross-dribble technique.
He was drafted first overall in both the NBA and ABA drafts.
He was the first player in the history of the Pistons franchise to be selected with the #1 pick.
He played in two All-Star games during his career.
He finally was on speaking terms with Jalen, and was planning on meeting face-to-face with him for the first time at the time of his passing.
