Why he might be annoying:

He shared the same name with the bow-tie wearing Senator, Paul Simon.
His $11 million Broadway musical 'The-Capeman' opened in January and closed in March (1998).
He has been known to wear a toupé.
Edie Brickell was 26 and he was 50 years old when they married in 1992.
His good friend Chevy Chase starred in the over played music video 'You Can Call Me Al.' (1986)
He married three times (Edie Brickell 1992- , Carrie Fisher 1983-1984 and Peggy Harper 1970-1975)
He played for a Queens NY 5 foot and under softball league. He was kicked off the team when he grew too tall.

Why he might not be annoying:

In his poignant '7 O'Clock News/Silent Night,' he and Garfunkel sing 'Silent Night' juxtaposed to the horrors of the news reporting on causalities in Vietnam. Martin Luther King's civil rights struggle, Lenny Bruce's heroin overdose and Richard Speck's murder spree. The song elicits goose bumps and the feeling of your hair standing on end.
He refused to performed with Art Garfunkel for more than a decade.
He sang the song 'The Boxer' on the first Saturday Night Live episode in October 2001 as a tribute to all the 9-11 heroes.
He performed a free concert in Central Park, New York (1991).
He was elected in the Rock and Roll Hall and Fame (2001).
He and Mick Jagger owned the Philadelphia Fury soccer team in the 70's. The league eventually folded.
