Why he might be annoying:

    He has to defend every single thing the President does.
    He refuses to answer questions when he doesn't know what to say.
    His father is a conspiracy theorist who believes Lyndon Johnson ordered the Kennedy assassination.
    A frequent and supportive questioner at his press conferences, Jeff Gannon, turned out to be a fake reporter planted by pro-Republican organizations.
    He said allegations that Karl Rove leaked the name of a CIA operative were 'ridiculous' (2003).

Why he might not be annoying:

    He has a tough job.
    He graduated the University of Texas.
    He occasionally jokes around with reporters.
    It's amusing to see him ramble through difficult or awkward questions.
    Some groups tried to spread rumors that he was gay.
