Her mother, Rose, felt she lacked ambition.
She disappointed her parents by marrying a non-Catholic. (Peter Lawford was Episcopalian, but agreed to raise their children in the Roman Catholic faith.)
According to Peter, she would make the sign of the cross before having sex with him.
She was the first Kennedy sibling to get divorced.
She became a heavy drinker for several years after her divorce.

Why she might not be annoying:

She was generally considered the most beautiful of the five Kennedy sisters.
Her father, Joseph Kennedy said, ‘Pat is the one with a head for business. She could really run this town if she put her mind to it.’
She was a talented golfer, with several family friends saying she could have joined the pro tour if she had been so inclined.
She substituted for a pregnant Jackie Kennedy at several events during the 1960 presidential campaign.
