Pitcher for the Chicago Cubs (1956-1960), Milwaukee Braves (1961), Cincinnati Reds (1962), Kansas City Athletics (1962-1965), Baltimore Orioles (1966-1968, 1970), Kansas City Royals (1969-1970), St. Louis Cardinals (1971-1972) and the Chicago White Sox (1972)
Established a World Series record by striking out 11 batters in 6 2/3 innings in a game as a relief pitcher (1966)
Member of the Chicago White Sox coaching staff (1986) and the Chicago Cubs coaching staff (1994)

Why he might be annoying:

He was known for his practical jokes and clubhouse pranks.
He became a journeyman player after leaving the Cubs.
After his foot got hit by a pitch, Dick Drott took him to first base with a wheelchair and Drott was thrown out of the game (April 27, 1957).
He gave up the pitch for Stan Musial's 3,000th hit (1958).
He was the pitcher who lost in Early Wynn's 300th win (1963).
He gave Commissioner Bowie Kuhn a hotfoot while the Orioles celebrated their World Series victory over the Reds (October 15, 1970).
Despite being retired from baseball, he made a prank call to the bullpen phone by impersonating Earl Weaver.
