The Resume

    (1993-May 13, 2004)
    Aired on NBC
Kelsey Grammer as Dr. Frasier Crane
David Hyde Pierce as Dr. Niles Crane
    John Mahoney as Martin Crane
Jane Leeves as Daphne Moon (later Daphne Crane)
    Peri Gilpin as Roz Doyle
Dan Butler as Bob 'Bulldog' Briscoe
    Moose as Eddie
    Spin-off of 'Cheers'
    Situated in Seattle, Washington
Premise: A radio talk show psychologist, who's father moves in with him

Why Frasier might be annoying:

The creators make some changes from the 'Cheers' days.
On 'Cheers' he mentioned his dad was a research scientist, but on Frasier he was a cop.
On 'Cheers,' Frasier said that he was an only child and that both parents were deceased.
Frasier also went from a beer guzzler hanging out at the local friendly bar to drinking only the finest wines.
Niles appeared to be a younger version of Frasier.
Just like 'Cheers,' there was an unseen wife.
Although Frasier and Niles were born and reared in Seattle, they seemed to act like they were English.
During its run, the show was tossed back and forth between Thursdays and Tuesdays.
Oh my god! That chair was hideous!
Frasier had more friends in Boston than in Seattle. In Seattle, he was always falling back on Niles.
The character of Frasier Crane grew less and less like his 'Cheers' persona.
He frequented the Cafe Nervosa, Nervosa means to be addicted.
Moose performed in the Rold Gold Pretzel spot during the Superbowl.
The show closing theme 'Tossed Salads and Scrambled Eggs' is song by Kelsey.

Why Frasier might not be annoying:

Despite being tossed back and forth between Thursdays and Tuesdays, the show still maintained high ratings.
Celebrity actors/actresses would do the voices of the patients calling in on Frasier's radio show.
It was a show that appealed to both intellectuals and non-intellectuals.
It was perhaps one of the most successful spin-offs made within the past 30 years.
Although the finale was open-ended, it was a better ending than 'Seinfeld.'
It ran as long as its parent show, 'Cheers.'
Lillith seemed much nicer during her guest appearances on 'Frasier' than on 'Cheers.'
Even in the last season, the show won several Emmys.
Because of the success of 'Frasier,' the Frasier Crane character was around for 20 years.
His radio station was KACL-AM, which are the initials for Frasier, creators (A)ngell, (C)asey and (L)ee.
In the episode 'The Show Where Sam Shows Up' Frasier clears up some inconsistency claiming he said his father was dead because they were feuding. But when Martin asks Frasier why he said he was a scientist, he responds, 'What did it matter? You were dead!'
Frasier appeared on an episode of 'The John Larroquette Show.'
Frasier and Roz appeared on an episode of 'Wings.'
You can tell what season the episodes are shot by the color of the logo (Season 1: Blue, 2: Red, 3: Green, 4: Purple, etc).
In the final episode, the writers decided to name Niles and Daphne's son 'David' after David Angell, who was killed in the 9/11/01 hijackings.
The food critic was named for G. K. Chesterton.
