    NFL Coach of the Year (2000)

    He spent the 1986 season out of football.
    He used steroids during his playing career.
    His Saints teams were inconsistent.
    He made poor coaching decisions.
    His teams were notorious for second half collapses.
    He continued starting the inconsistent Aaron Brooks over Jake Delhomme.
