Racist

The Resume

    (May 11, 1978- )
    Born in Boston, Massachusetts
President/Director of The National Policy Institute (NPI), a white nationalist think tank
Executive Director of Washington Summit Publishers (2011- )
Publishes 'Radix Journal,' an internet news site displaying White Nationalist-related content
Claims to have invented the term 'Alt-Right' (originally 'Alternative Right')
Twitter account was suspended - or banned - from activity on the grounds of 'hateful conduct' (December, 2016)
Attracted national scrutiny following the presidential election, where, after proclaiming 'Hail Trump, hail our people, hail victory!' at an annual NPI conference, during which time a number of his supporters gave the Nazi salute and gave chants reminiscent to the 'Sieg heil' chant (November 20, 2016)
Became a popular internet meme during the Presidential inauguration of Donald Trump, after being punched in the face by an unidentified assailant during an on-the-street interview (January 20, 2017)

Why he might be annoying:

He was fired from his job with 'The American Conservative' because his views were considered 'too extreme.'
He's critical of political correctness but prefers to identify by a PC term for 'white supremacist' ('Identitarian').
He was jailed in Hungary after violating the ordinance banning him from holding his annual NPI conference in the Budapest (2014).
He has gone on record calling for a 'peaceful' form of ethnic cleansing, calling whites a 'dispossessed race.'
His rhetoric often comes off as deliberately reminiscent of Hitler's pro-Aryan speeches from the early and mid 1930s.
His outspoken white supremacist views got him banned from Great Britain and most countries within the European Union (despite his being vehemently pro-Europe).
He stole a page out of Tom Metzger's dog whistle playbook by dismissing the term 'Nazi' as a buzzword, but refusing to denounce Hitler when pressed on it.
He aggressively used Donald Trump's Presidential campaign to boost the visibility of the 'white nationalist' movement, producing attention most of Trump's team deemed extremely unwelcome.
He defended his views in a bizarre TV One interview with Roland Martin, smirking throughout as Martin scolded him, and usually directing his questions back at him.
He bitched excessively after being sucker-punched while in D.C. for the inauguration, whining that the incident could 'become the meme of all memes' and dissuade other white nationalists from speaking publicly.
He turned his back on fellow Alt-Right icon Milo Yiannopoulos following Milo's comments defending 'man-boy love,' and publicly supported his being disinvited from CPAC. He then acted shocked when he was kicked out of the same event because attendees found him equally 'repugnant.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He is open to debating people with ideas different from his own.
He received a BA in English Literature/Music from the University of Virginia and an MA in the Humanities from the University of Chicago (2001-2003).
He is excruciatingly polite during interviews.
He has a legion of devoted and loyal followers.
He has two grandfathers who served in WWII.
He claims both grandparents probably wouldn't have minded that NPI conference attendees delivered a 'Nazi salute' in 'a moment of irony and exuberance.'
He boosted the NPI's membership dramatically by gearing their message to social media (yeah, David Duke get with it - most white nationalist millennials don't even know what Stormfront is anymore!).
He was right about one thing: his unfortunate incident on the streets of DC, which registered over 2 million views on YouTube, made for some hilarious internet memes/YouTube remixes (including one done to Rage Against the Machine's song, 'Freedom').
