Recorded the theme songs for 'Animal House (1978)' and 'Tootsie (1982)'

Why he might be annoying:

He was going to be a history teacher until, like so many of his time, he saw The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show and refocused on becoming a rocker.
He lived with and broke up with actress Karen Allen.
His characters listed in most of his movie are as 'Charming Guy,' 'Charming Trooper,' 'Charming G.I.' etc.
He sells overpriced CDs on his website and has an exclusive CD you can only buy at Target stores.

Why he might not be annoying:

His high school band, The Weeds, took 2nd place in a Battle of the Bands contest and a judge stated 'Stephen Bishop is going to be a big songwriter someday!'
It took him nine years of trying to secure a record deal but his first two albums, 'Careless' and 'Bish,' went gold.
He kept the guitar he played in 'Animal House' smashed by John Belushi after getting the cast to sign it.
Artists who've recorded his songs include Eric Clapton, Steve Perry, Barbra Streisand, The Four Tops and Pavarotti.
His song 'Separate Lives' from the movie 'White Nights (1985),' sung by Phil Collins and Marilyn Martin, earned him an Oscar nomination.
Bret Easton Ellis's anti-hero Patrick Bateman in his novel 'American Psycho' is a huge Stephen Bishop fan.
