The Resume

    (2010- )
    Born in Florida
    Lives in Ocala National Forest
Got its head caught in a plastic container while rummaging through a trash bin in the town of Weirsdale (August 2010)
Rescued ten days later by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission
Released unharmed into a more remote part of the forest

Why he might be annoying:

    He was inevitably nicknamed 'Jarhead.'
He, his mother and siblings regularly invaded Weirsdale's trash bins.
He avoided traps set by concerned biologists for days.
He fought his rescuers when they finally caught up with him.
A bear from Thunder Bay, Ontario that also got its head stuck in a container didn't get nearly as much attention. (The Canadian Jarhead is believed to have rid itself of the container).

Why he might not be annoying:

He survived for several days unable to eat or drink.
Worried locals rallied on his behalf and provided several tips about his whereabouts.
Rescuers were forced to tranquilize his mother so they could get close enough to remove the container.
His story highlights the danger trash poses to wildlife.
He shares a nickname with the US Marines.
