Why he might be annoying
He became the Dalai Lama because he has 'tiger stripe' markings on his legs and prominent ears.
He was able to select the eating bowl, spectacles, false teeth container and pen that were used by the 12th Dalai Lama who died a year after his birth.
When the people of Tibet attempted an unsuccessful uprising against the Chinese occupiers, he fled Tibet (1959).
One of his greatest admirers is Richard Gere.
He is a vegetarian.
Why he might not be annoying
He is a pacifist.
He leads the Tibetan government in exile in India.
He has a great sense of humor and laughed when 'Stuttering' John Melendez once address him as 'Hello Dalai.'
He travels around the world to advocate against human rights abuses.
