Why they might be annoying
What the hell is a thunderbear?
As the Texas Terror, their logo was a cartoon Frankenstein that appeared to be posing for a studio portrait.
They had only one win in their first season, and registered just one winning season before the team folded.
They had really poor attendance, and thought changing the team name would help boost attendance.
Their attendance got so bad in 2001, that they would travel around and play their games at neutral sites. This was basically scouting new locations for when they got rid of the team.
Why they might not be annoying
AFL star, Clint Dolezel joined the team in 1998, and immediately took them to the playoffs.
They managed to last six years, which is longer than many AFL teams.
They gave people in Houston a chance to watch a professional football team after the Houston Oilers moved to Tennessee.
