    Appeared in the films ‘The Man from the Alamo’ (1953), ‘The Lawless Breed’ (1953), ‘There’s No Business Like Show Business’ (1954), ‘Come Fly with Me’ (1963), ‘Love Has Many Faces’ (1965), ‘Ten Little Indians’ (1965), ‘The Shootist’ (1976), ‘The Game of Death’ (1978) and ‘Twins’ (1988)
    Appeared on Broadway in ‘Destry Rides Again’ (1959-60) and ‘First Love’ (1961-62)
    One of the guests on the premier episode of Fantasy Island (1977)
    After his World War II service, he was offered an appointment to the Naval Academy and turned it down.
    After accidentally being billed as ‘Hugh Krape’ in a play, he decided to use his mother’s maiden name of O’Brien as a stage name, but it got misspelled.
    He returned to playing Wyatt Earp in several 1990s projects, including one of Kenny Rogers’ ‘Gambler’ TV movies.
    He got married for the first time at age 81. The ceremony – dubbed ‘A Wedding to Die For’ – was held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale.
    He lettered in four sports in high school: football, basketball, wrestling and track.
    During World War II at age 17, he became the youngest Marine drill instructor.
    While eating at the Hollywood Canteen, he won a blind date with Virginia Mayo.
    He won a Golden Globe for Most Promising Male Newcomer (1954).
    After spending nine days as a volunteer in Dr. Albert Schweitzer’s hospital, he founded the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Foundation, a non-profit development program for high school scholars (1958).
    He entertained troops at the front in Vietnam.
