Why they might be annoying
They became famous by covering somebody else's song.
The CD cover for 'Amorica' featured a picture girls crotch with pubic hair coming out the top of her American-flag inspired thong. The album was banned in some stores, forcing the band to release it with a different cover.
Chris and Rich feuded all the time, which lead to the band's eventual break up (2002).
Why they might not be annoying
They were described as being the Rolling Stones of the '90's.
Their debut album, 'Shake Your Money Maker,' sold over 3 million units.
They were a successful Souther rock/blues inspired band in a time when all that was popular was gangster rap, grunge and hair metal.
They were called the 'Allman Brothers for the Generation X set.'
They ranked 92 on VH-1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock.
