Author
    (September 3, 1923-February 26, 2019)
    Born in Los Angeles, California
Birth name was Geraldine Loretta Glynn
Penned the memoir 'The Love Boats' (1974)
Book inspired three television movies and the popular series, 'The Love Boat'
She randomly switched out the 'G' with a 'J' in her first name.
    She was married three times.
She was engaged to actor Albert Dekker when she discovered him dead in his Hollywood home.
That Dekker was found naked in a bath tub tied with leather straps and covered with obscenities written in red lipstick led many to speculate that this was a sex game gone wrong (it was later ruled accidental).
After her memoir, her second most successful project was authoring a nationally syndicated horoscope column originally created by husband Sidney Omarr ('Omarr's Astrological Finance').
She and her partner of ten years were featured in a show called 'Extreme Cougar Wives,' where they discussed 12-hour long love-making sessions (she was 91, he was 47).
Her first book documented her experience as the first female cruise director for a major cruise line, Princess Cruises.
The popular series based on her memoir was credited with increasing the cruise business by some 3,000 per cent.
Her daughter died of Hypoglycemia, in 1970, at the age of 27 (she later wrote a informational book on treating the disease).
She was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Southern California Motion Picture Council.
She was the basis for the character of Julie McCoy, played by Lauren Tewes, on Love Boat.
At the time of her death, she was writing a proposal for a Broadway musical based on The Love Boat.
