Why he might be annoying:

He looks like Steve Perry, he sounds like Steve Perry and his name is almost identical to that of Steve Perry (coincidence? I think not).
His band, Tall Stories, failed because they sounded too similar to Journey (talk about irony).
His first album with Journey, 'Arrival,' didn't live up to expectations.
He has yet to recapture the sound that made Journey so popular in their day.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a relative unknown but was hand picked by Journey to replace Steve Perry.
His dream to front a popular rock band came true in a big way.
He managed to win back some, but not all, Journey fans.
He has come to terms with the fact that he will be forever compared to Steve Perry.
He is humble and doesn't take his success for granted; in many ways the antithesis of typical rock stars.
