Why he might be annoying:

He played in four different leagues in a span of two seasons.
He was a replacement player during the 1987 players strike.
He was fired by the Giants at mid-season after the team's offense proved to be inconsistent (2002).
He locked himself in the stadium and slept on the couches in the locker room to study plays during team off-days.
He was passed over in the NFL draft, despite his impressive numbers at Eastern Illinois.
He was suspended for the entire 2012 season after it was revealed he knew of a bounty progam amongst his defensive players and refused to stop it (March 21, 2012).

Why he might not be annoying:

He turned the Saints from a doormat to contender in his first season as head coach.
He is the first Saints' coach to win his first three career games.
He planned an offensive attack around Drew Brees, Reggie Bush and Deuce McAllister.
He flourished as a co-ordinator under Bill Parcells in Dallas.
He is considered an offensive genius by football analysts.
He discovered the unknown talent Tony Romo because they both went to the same small school of Eastern Illinois University.
