The daily shenanigans of high-maintenance ‘professional’ women in their communities

It billed itself as a real-life hybrid of Desperate Housewives and The O.C.
Only a few of the featured wives actually are domestic.
They have very little shame.
Despite production policy, they will promote their ventures in public.

No need for soaps or Jerry Springer — their antics, onscreen and behind the scenes, are far juicier than anything top soap writers could imagine.
We want to be them but don’t want to cross them.
Thanks mainly to the Atlanta series, it demonstrates that cattiness is color-blind.
Some of the wives have modest backgrounds (by the standards of their fellows, anyway).
