Why he might be annoying
During a game with the Cincinnati Reds, he pitched a ball inside to the batter (opposing pitcher, Paul Wilson) who was attempting to bunt (June 19, 2003). After shouting back and forth, Wilson tossed his bat and Farnsworth tossed his glove and they went for each other. He tackled Wilson and punched him in the jaw causing both to be ejected.
He eventually received a three day suspension for the fight.
It should also be noted that in the previous inning, both a Cub and Red were hit by a pitch.
In each of his first four seasons, he had a losing record.
At the end of 2002, he had twice as many losses as wins in his career (15-30).
His stint as a starting pitcher lasted just one year before being placed in the bull pen.
His middle name is Lynn.
