Why he might be annoying:

He was a one term Congressman, until redistricting created a new opportunity to serve.
His supporters call him 'A Congressman with Guts.'
He said the Republicans' health care plan was 'don't get sick' and their backup plan was 'die quickly.'
One of his attack ads labeled his Republican opponent as 'Taliban Dan.'
George F. Will believed him to be the 'worst member of Congress.'
He doesn't believe moderates accomplish anything in Congress, so why be moderate?
He referred to Ben Bernanke as a 'K Street Whore.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He worked as a janitor and night watchman while attending Harvard.
He was an ally of Ron Paul when it came to going after the Federal Reserve.
He also agrees with Republicans that we 'need to live within our means.'
Where Democrats have the reputation of being spineless, he's a Democrat with a spine.
He apologized for his 'die quickly' remarks...to all of the Americans who died because they didn't have health insurance.
He provides balance to other nuts in Congress, like Michele Bachmann.
He idolizes historical figures who showed strong moral character, such as Martin Luther King, Jr.
