Why he might be annoying:

His nickname was 'SkyDog,' taken from two different nicknames he had been given before ('Skyman Allman' and 'Dog').
While his brother Gregg got a guitar for the Christmas of 1960, he got a motorcycle (at fourteen) and wrecked it just months later.
He looked much older than he actually was.
He died at the peak of his career.
Berry Oakley, the bassist for the Allman Brothers Band, also died from a motorcycle accident nine months after Duane, just a few feet from where Duane had crashed his bike.

Why he might not be annoying:

He traded the spare parts of his broken-down motorcycle for a guitar of his own.
He died in a motorcycle accident when a truck pulled out from another street in front of him. He lost control of his bike and crashed into the side of the truck, falling off the bike with his helmet flying off, dying almost instantly.
There is an urban legend that the reason the Allman Brothers Band's fourth album was named 'Eat a Peach,' because Duane's motorcycle had hit a peach tree.
He is considered the best slide guitarist ever, playing bottleneck slide using a glass Coricidin D cold medicine bottle.
At a young age, he had played for Wilson Pickett, Aretha Franklin, King Curtis, Clarence Carter, Otis Scaggs and Eric Clapton.
He was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995, along with the rest of the Allman Brothers Band.
