    She was married and divorced four times.
    During her second marriage, she had a son with Montgomery Clift's brother Brooks.
    She was so nervous during her performances in 'Bus Stop' that she kept a trash can in the wings to throw up in between takes.
    She quit the stage after hostile reviews of her performance in 'The Three Sisters' in London (1965).
    Acting teacher Lee Strasberg called her 'an outstanding student who had the ability to flip from playing a sensitive soul to an obsessive monster.'
    She was nominated for two Oscars and two Tonys and won two Emmys.
    She became a drama teacher at the College of Santa Fe in New Mexico.
