Why he might be annoying:

    He got the nickname 'Bingo' in college to differentiate him from two other players on the team named Bobby Smith.
    He is twice divorced and has five children from both marriages.
    He spent the majority of his career on poor Cavaliers teams.
    He sported an enormous afro during his playing career.
    Many of the modern day Cavalier fans are unaware of his significance to the franchise, as most of them followed the team during the eras of Mark Price and LeBron James.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He started and finished his career with both teams to play in San Diego (since relocated).
    He was one of the first superstars in the history of the Cavaliers franchise.
    His play was instrumental in the Cavaliers winning the first playoff game in franchise history, in a game known as 'The Miracle in Richfield' (1975).
    He was considered one of the smoothest long range shooters, prior to the installation of the three point line.
    He was inducted into the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame (2016).
