(October 10, 1961- )
Birth name is Jodi Matzorati
Acted in 'The Little Mermaid' (1989), 'Thumbelina' (1994), 'Flubber' (1997), 'Toy Story 2' (1999), 'Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure' (2001)
1992 Tony Award nominee as Best Actress (Musical) for 'Crazy for You'
Best known for providing the voice of Ariel from the Disney movie 'The Little Mermaid'
Why she might be annoying
She is a born-again Christian.
Her nickname is Aquagirl.
While she married her husband, Ray Benson, in 1984, they didn't have kids until almost fifteen years into their marriage.
She provided the voice for that irritating thing called Weebo in the mess of a movie, 'Flubber.'
Despite doing a great amount of work outside of 'The Little Mermaid' and its spinoff and sequels, she'll probably be always know for voicing the token mermaid (and redhead!) Disney princess.
Perhaps not surprisingly, she claims to be an avid collector of Little Mermaid memorabilia.
Why she might not be annoying
She has a beautiful singing voice.
She has strong faith in her religion.
She has a devoted fan base.
Her character, Ariel, is one of the best loved Disney characters of all time.
She doesn't seem to care much that she'll be always best known for 'The Little Mermaid' and she never gets tired of performing 'Part of your world.'
She beat out some 500 other women to win the part of the Little Mermaid (her first voice work).
The 'moral values' of the story also appealed greatly to her.
She is not the typical preachy-preachy Christian, using her clout to teach positive values to the young.
